Social Studies

American Government is a course based upon the assumption that it is absolutely essential for all Americans to know and understand the nature of the American system of government.  It emphasizes the fundamental characteristics of out democratic system of government on the national, state, and local levels.  Much attention is also given to our political parties and elections, foreign policy and the relationship between current events and our government.
